The problem

An outdoor cleaning robot must prioritize work and adapt its motion as targets and environmental conditions change.

My contribution

  • Designed heuristic scheduling and planning with spatial optimization and real-time adaptability.
  • Developed the Trash Hunter feature for decision-making and motion planning.
  • Ran scenario design, error diagnosis, and iterative validation to refine robot behavior.

Technical approach

Heuristic decision-making connects cleaning priorities to motion planning. Simulation and iterative validation support adaptation to complex outdoor environments.

Results & validation

Developed the Trash Hunter planning feature

The work translated planning research into robot functionality, including the Trash Hunter feature.
